Family Caregiver Support Groups
There are often times when individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers need information and direction about services, policies, funding sources, and much more. Many families find it helpful to join a support group, a group of people who share similar experiences that meet regularly to discuss issues related to those experiences. By joining a support group, caregivers can be introduced to others like themselves with similar needs.
The FDDC's Home & Community Based Services Waiver Waitlist Strategic Plan Implementation Task Force has gathered information on active support groups throughout the state that may benefit caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities.
