The Area 4 Family Care Council is excited to announce the return of their annual Connecting the
Dots conference. This year’s event will be held on October 21 at the Church of Eleven22 in
Jacksonville. The conference will feature keynote speaker Shelley Gottsagen and her son
Zackary, award-winning actor and star of the 2019 independent film, “The Peanut Butter
Falcon.”
The conference will also include community resource vendors and breakout sessions on a variety
of topics such as independent living, the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), mental
health, sibling support, behaviors, Individualized Education Plan (IEP), future planning, Social
Security, legal ways of protecting rights, housing options, and more.
The registration fee is $15.00, which includes breakfast snacks and a boxed lunch. Registration is
